Cold Springs Campground in Chickasaw offers a charming and peaceful camping experience, particularly appreciated for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and the friendly camp host, Bob, who is recognized for his helpfulness. Many families return yearly to enjoy quality time in nature, with large, shaded campsites near the creek enhancing the experience. While some visitors noted noise from other campers and occasional issues with ticks, overall sentiments highlight a strong fondness for the campground's community atmosphere and natural setting.

Awesome environment and volunteers/staff
Got to see plenty of deer and wild life. I went in “off season” (December) and had a wonderful night listening to rain on the tent.

Although mine was a short overnight stay, it was memorable. A short hike surrounded by curious deer in the cool clear night. A warm fire and breakfast in the crisp morning air. Well maintained facilities and organized campsites made for a pleasant outing. The surrounding grounds offer peace and tranquility.

Very woodsy site and camp hostess is the best. Great hikes and don’t miss the world class Chickasaw Cultural Center and the very good and educational movie about Chickasaw history. Call for times.

Chickasaw Recreation Area is always a treat. There were so many deer in the area and the trails are beautiful. Cold Springs #47 doesn't have another campsite behind you so it's nice for kids to play in the woods. Nice spot to put a tent in the shade. The bathroom is not too far. Water is on the other side of the bathroom which is fine. My biggest complaint is there are no showers. If there were showers this would be the perfect place to camp. The park rangers are friendly and helpful and they will not put up with anyone breaking the rules like quiet hours. Thanks CRA for a beautiful weekend!
