Many people will come here to drink openly, yell, scream and party until 2:30am.
The campground host did not police anyone. It was constant noise, commotion and drinking literally until 2:30am.

I loved the camp host. Bob always made sure everything was ok. The camp ground was clean and so was the restrooms

Ticks were really bad this year : people were leaving because of the ticks. They need to spray before camping season starts .

There is a greater need for law enforcement in the park as a whole. I was in Cold Springs where I have camped for many years from Thursday 5/14 to 5/16/ 26. Friday night there was a couple who pulled into site 17 at 2 A.M. and slammed car doors and trunk lids for over 30 minutes while setting up there tent. They woke me up. They left before 7 A.M. the next morning which leads me to believe they did NOT pay for the site! I go up there to get AWAY from the noise and BS and this is what I was subjected to. If the enforcement is not increased in the future, my visits while NOT continue!

From I-35, take Exit 55 and drive towards the city of Davis, OK. Once in Davis, go east on Highway 7. Watch for Chickasaw National Recreation Area signs. Drive approximately 8 mi east of Davis to the only 4 way stop (Jct Hwy 7 and Hwy 177) in the city of Sulphur. Turn right for approximately 0.2 mi on Highway 177. Take the first left turn on NE Perimeter Road. Keep driving on NE Perimeter Road until you see the sign for Cold Springs Campground. The campground will be on your left.
Highway access
Cold Springs Campground is accessible via I-35, with Exit 55 leading to Highway 7. Highway 7 continues east towards Sulphur, connecting to Highway 177.
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
