The grass was past my knees, they hadn't mowed. I spoke to them about it and even spoke to the manager of the lake, which I thought was very nice, and he assured me that the grass would get mowed...it didn't happen. We were there over the Memorial Day weekend and had the same exact problem. This is ridiculous, you couldn't even walk in the grass because there was rocks and holes and we tripped a lot and my husband has bed knees and I had knee surgery 4 years ago. Sad to say, we may not be back. It was a very bad experience, but the camp hosts were really nice.

Love Rocky Point, boat ramp and dock are good. Enjoy the swim beach for the grandkids and love Pennington’s grocery right next to park entrance ! Nice restroom and shower on west side but you might want to bring mower or weedeater cuz mowing this season has been questionable !

The attendants were super sweet and helpful as always!
The grounds looked better this time then they have in years! The grass was cut short and our campsite was amazingly clean when we arrived.
The bathrooms are extremely hot and not a pleasure to use for a shower. A better air conditioning and filtration system would be a plus so that we aren’t sweaty when we get done showering.
We had a great time. Thank you!
