What Guests Are Saying
Kiowa Park I offers a pleasant camping experience with spacious sites, beautiful lake views, and friendly staff. Visitors enjoyed fishing, the peaceful atmosphere, and the convenience of electric and water hookups. However, some facilities, particularly the bathrooms and showers, need maintenance, and improvements like closer trash disposal and better lawn care are suggested. Overall, many guests express a desire to return.

The entrance booth staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. No problem looking up my reservation and helping me find a spot which made sense. A truly enjoyable event and I liked the camp well enough.

It's a lovely quiet place to camp.
Carolyn at the gate was so friendly.
I also needed help with an extension and went to the Corps office. They were so friendly and welcoming. They were able to take care of my issue very quickly.

Don’t know why y’all closed the loop area when Cadillac hill and Wichita ridge is closing till January. Should have kept it open till November 1st. This is at Kiowa 1 at Waurika Lake. And it should have been mowed at least one more time on the south side where everyone was having to move to.

Nice campground with lots of green space, some sites with a lake view. Location of park convenient for day trip to Oklahoma City. Nice swim beach. Our only complaint is the bathrooms were filthy: muddy floors, spiderwebs and spiders everywhere, small trash can inside bathouse overflowing and only emptied once during our 7-day stay. We also noticed the grass was really long and other campers brought lawn mowers from home to mow their individual sites.
