Amazing location! Tons of room to spread out, oversized fire pit outside and one under the gazebo, lots of picnic benches, river access, electricity, water spigot, very private area, camp host was wonderful, lots of parking, lighting under the gazebo, 4 bathrooms, awesome covered gazebo area which has picnic benches a food prep station, sink and two bbq areas with a hood above them. I loved that there is no cell reception out there either!! The closest spot to put in the river and end at River Edge is called Missouri Bend, that's too far of a float...we put in at Campbell Park and got out at Salmonberry Campground and just shuttled floaters. The water was still high enough in June to float. Mid July-August it's pretty tough to float the Alsea in this area because of how low the water is.

Cons/things to consider:
Water smells like rotten eggs (it's my understanding this is due to high levels of sulfer or something like that).
No showers
While there are 4 bathrooms, which are very well maintained, some in the group weren't the biggest fan of the pit toilets.

Overall I personally give this place a 9.5 out of 10, it's great!!

Please note, we visited in June, however we went to visit in January to scope the place out. The photos I am posting are from a GORGEOUS January trip out there that don't have any people in the photos.

I rented this group site, because I knew there was only one site. I have a dog who dislikes other dogs and by renting this spot, I thought I was in the clear for only having my dogs there. I paid a lot of money to have that peace of mind. I was wrong, the neighbors dog kept coming over numerous times. Even after the very nice host asked them several times to keep their dog out of the camp site. So needless to say my experience was not what i wanted for paying so much to camp. The site is a beautiful one with plenty of room. Just beware of the neighbors.

The camp hosts Dan and Cheryl are amazing hosts. They were very hospitable and keep the place in tip top shape. Cheryl even handed out glow sticks to the kids.
The campground itself is a wonderful place to play, eat and swim. Has plenty of room for tents, 2 sets of vault restrooms, running water, large charcoal grill, sink , a couple 110 outlets and ample parking.
