What Guests Are Saying
Blackberry Campground offers a beautiful, quiet setting along the Alsea River, making it ideal for kayaking and swimming, with many shaded campsites. The camp hosts are friendly and maintain cleanliness, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. However, concerns about safety due to fast-moving bicycles, noisy campers, and some management issues have been noted, leading to mixed reviews about the campground's organization and access to the river.

It's a nice campground! No hookups. There are outhouses throughout the campground. There's also a pump for water but it does not have a connector for a hose.

This is a small, quiet campground although there is some road noise. There is only one real access point to the river where boats can be put in and children can play in the water. It looks like in the past there were more access places but the brush has overgrown them and they would be very steep now. It is lovely with most campsites shaded and the blackberries were very good to eat. There are no trails, children had fun riding bikes around the camp loop but it is not enough for dogs that need a longer walk.

Camp host was aweful. Cussed and screamed at my husband. Rude and unprofessional behavior. Will try going there one more time but if she is there we will leave. Horrible experience. This was our 5th year there and this was the worst experience. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The camp manager did not do their job. They let people park partially in the road and let kids ride bikes and motorcycles at least 15 to 20 miles an hour at all times of the day. It was very annoying. We will not be going back!

We love blackberry and have been going for years and years, my only complaint is it would be nice if the sites could be mowed more often, we love the big sites but they aren’t as usable if a foot high.

When I showed up, there was no camp managers, they abandoned thier post and used the tsunami warning as an excuse. I stayed the night before in Sutton, 2 miles inland, Blackberry is 15+ miles inland.
People were fighting over sites, people could not set up camp, and no one could get wood. None of the campers on site knew what happened to the camp managers.
This place is a big open field with sub par river access.
I did not stay here and I would not recomend it.
