What Guests Are Saying

Blackberry is a beautiful, quiet campground located along the Alsea River, ideal for kayaking and family activities. Many campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the helpful camp hosts. However, issues such as overcrowded sites, noise, and overgrown access to the river have been noted, leading to mixed experiences among visitors.

Beautiful, quiet little camp ground. The river is perfect for sticking your feet in or swimming. Highly recommend, will be returning.

Nothing between sites to add privacy, some barely had enough non-parking spot large enough for a tent. A good 1/3 of the sites were full sun. The campfire rings were not buried deep enough- ours was a good 2.5' out of the ground and provided no warmth or ambiance. The men's bathroom would lock accidentally, so everyone was using one half of the vault toilet. Trash along the river. RVs camping overnight in the day use area next to the camp "host" who I saw do nothing about noise, the day use RV staying overnight, the trash, or the toilet. Would not recommend.

Poorly run, no privacy between sites, lots of which barely have room for a tent - they used most of each site for a long parking spot. Several sites would be full sun all day as well. The bathroom kept locking so everyone was half the vault toilet. Camp hosts didn't do much/anything, including not cleaning up the trash at the river, or the RV staying overnight in the day use area. Firepits were no sunk into the ground far enough.

Great location - you can play in the river at the campsite or nearby day use areas, also a 20 minute drive to the beach. Camp hosts were lovely, very kind and kept the bathrooms and campground clean. We had a wonderful time relaxing and playing! Will definitely return!
