Girl given the circumstances of the current forest fires and whatnot we expected that camping wouldn't be as ideal as typical but we did however expect to go to Union Creek because there was no notifications or Warnings that there was no water at the reservoir and barely any access unless you wanted to get stuck in 6 inches of very thick suction cup like mud so there was no access to enjoy the water it was extremely hot none of the campgrounds are shaded it's very dry heat no water miserable camping we made camp and then within an hour we packed it up and drove 2 hours back towards our hometown and went to one of our go-to small lakes we were hoping to go out to Phillips Reservoir and escape the smoke and the crowds and enjoy some floating on the water and some relaxation under the trees there were no warning signs or postings that the reservoir is completely basically dried up and no amenities

Nice spot to camp! Clean & quiet. Gravel sites. Ours was not very level - we were able to make it work. Water in Phillips Lake was incredibly low. Great hiking trails and lots of wildlife. Will stay again!

The spaces are spread out, lots of trees for shade, and restrooms are close. It’s difficult to see the restrooms on the map, but they are pretty to close to each campsite. The lake is very low in July and the banks are very gooey mud. Don’t allow your dog to drink from the lake.

My site was not flat, it's slope down for right side so it was hard to back in. It close to other 3 sites. But campground was good has flush toilet. But lake water was really low. trail was good.

Had a great time with our grandson, his first time camping, he loved it. Campground facilities are very clean, and the camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. The only draw back is the critters in your engine.
