Beautiful campground with awesome hosts. They ride around with ice and firewood if needed. There are trashcans in between most sites. Our site was large, very clean, with an excellent view. The lake is down, but still visible from the campsite. The hiking trail around the lake is well-kept and provides a pleasant hiking experience. We will be back!

Very family friendly setting. Sites are not crammed in next to each other. Perfect location for star gazing with very little light from nearby Baker City. Grandkids loved fishing from the banks of the lake and riding their bicycles.

Better enforcement of keeping dogs leashed would be appreciated. Our neighbors' dogs (4) were consistently loose and coming to our site.
Otherwise, our stay was very, very pleasant. Clean bathrooms and sites.

Parts of this campground are very quiet. Most of the sites are far apart. The ponderosa pines are beautiful! We didn't like the boat launching area because of all the loud jet boats and barking dogs.

A very nice campground with partial or full hookups, an easy drive up from Baker City. We stayed two nights on our way from Boise to the Washington coast. Very clean and well maintained by the campground hosts. Also exceptionally quiet due to the prohibition of ATV/UTV driving within the campground. The lake has no swimming beach and seemed lightly used by fishermen, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. There is a nice hiking/mtn bike trail that circumnavigates the lake/reservoir. Only issue is the campground is infested with brazen chipmunks! Many campers had the hoods to their vehicles open to prevent them from taking up residence in the engine compartment and doing damage. There appears to be no natural predators which is surprising as one would think fox, coyote, etc would help to keep them in control. But it's ranch country and I suspect those natural predators are under pressure from them. Despite that I'd likely stay there again when traveling in that direction but not likely as a destination.

Great location - enjoyed paddle boarding on the lake, weekends are busy with boats however most of them seem to be respectful of paddle boarders. Great walking trails. Camp hosts are super nice and very friendly.
