This is a wonderful location, with opportunities for boating, paddle boarding, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, or simple sun bathing. It is better to go earlier in the season (June-July, especially), so there is still water in the reservoir. The restrooms are super clean here, and the hosts were incredibly kind and nice. Our only complaint - we were in a group site, GD and the sign indicating the site is a group one and is reserved is very small. So all weekend we had people park in the spots assigned to our group site and wander through our site, without realizing they were in our bubble. Other than that, an excellent experience.

Love this campground. The spots are not right on top of each other. We could see the water from our camp spot and the bugs were not that bad either. There is also a nice little hike along the lake. I would definitely stay here again. So glad we discovered it!!!

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The sites are not very close and unmanicured (no lawns) the way camping should be. We will return!!!

Clean, quite, well maintained campground with friendly helpful camp hosts. Because we were there before the reservoir is drawn down later in the summer, we were able to do a lot of kayaking and saw a lot of birds[eagle, osprey, blue herons, white pelicans, ducks, geese, brands, etc]. Fishing was only fair. Mountain bike/hiking trails around lake. Near historic downtown Baker City and the Oregon Trail Museum as well as the small town of Sumpter that has a huge Flea Market three weekends each summer.
