Beautiful place to relax. Great view and access of the lake. Not too loud too, so that’s great.

Elk Lake Campground offers a beautiful and relaxing setting with great access to the lake, and visitors appreciate the close proximity to a nearby resort with food and activities. While many campers enjoyed their stays, highlighting the cleanliness of the campground and the helpfulness of the camp host, there were some concerns about site conditions, restroom cleanliness, and a lack of water supply. Overall, the campground is seen as a nice spot for camping and outdoor activities, with some areas for improvement.

Probably one of the worst rec.gov campground experiences we have had. Tiny unkempt sites. NO signs marking sites.

Bathrooms were filthy. Campers partied all night and camp host did nothing. Last day there, no water in camp. Not worth the $25 bucks they charge.

I arrived at 2pm and the site was vacant and freshly raked for cleanliness. The neighboring campers were respectful. The resort next door has great food and drink options. will return again.

Nice & old campground with narrow & tight driveways, great access to the lake. Avoid Site #15 & #16 at all costs - these sites are really one site & renting them separatley is not appropriate.
