Elk Lake Campground offers a beautiful and relaxing setting with great access to the lake, and visitors appreciate the close proximity to a nearby resort with food and activities. While many campers enjoyed their stays, highlighting the cleanliness of the campground and the helpfulness of the camp host, there were some concerns about site conditions, restroom cleanliness, and a lack of water supply. Overall, the campground is seen as a nice spot for camping and outdoor activities, with some areas for improvement.

We have been going to Elk Lake campground for many years and have never seen it so well maintained and taken care of. George the camp host is amazing and went above and beyond. Thank you!

Definitely one of my favorite places to camp. It is clean, quiet and the most beautiful scenery. You honestly don't need to explore further to find Oregon at its finest.

The camp host, who was two sites away, would run his generator from 5pm to 8:30pm both nights we camped there. It was an older, very loud generator. It really took the enjoyment out of enjoying the outdoors. We left on our second night after a group of 10 campers occupied the site next to us, that is limited to 6 campers, all young men drinking beer and partying. We are not whiners, or complainers, we are avid hikers, kayakers and campers. This summer we have camped from Yachats, to Anacortes, to the Snake river near Lewiston Id, and many points in-between. The camp host had four large bags of cans, an abandoned full size washing machine and other items leaving his site looking like a homeless camp.

So beautiful. One of the coolest campgrounds we have been too. Clean bathrooms and campsites. Nice camp hosts and friendly campers. Recommend tent camping, renting kayaks at the resort and getting dinner at the resort restaurant. We will be back next year!
