Visitors enjoy the scenic views, proximity to the water, and the tranquil atmosphere, often appreciating the lack of mosquitoes. Campground in general is in poor repair. Pavement in campground is full of holes and has not been resurfaced in years, edges are crumbling and is narrow in some spots from crumbling edges. Many trees were cut down a few years back to increase safety. Most felled trees and limbs are still scattered in camps-just where they were cut. Pit toilets are in poor condition. Overall this campground is neglected.

Love the high desert climate--which can be very unpredictable, but all its phases are amazing. The mature Ponderosa Pines throughout the area and campground create a great ambiance!

It was perfect weather. The site we had was great. Most sites here are spacious and you don't feel you're too close together. Flush toilets were nearby but one was out of order which was unfortunate but the facility was checked regularly and kept pretty clean (for a campground toilet). We had a site with easy access to the beach and our boat.
The camp hosts were always friendly and helpful.
The sites are shaded by ponderosa pines but that was nice on those warm, sunny days.

The camp hosts were very nice and helpful, solved problems when asked, like a bathroom issue that needed attention, got attention.
Campsites were clean and we appreciated the pine needles raked away from the fire ring to prevent fire from spreading outside the ring.
Wickiup Reservoir was quite full, pretty good fishing for Kokanee. Loved the fish cleaning stations. Lots of family fun going on and no one was noisy late into the nights partying and keeping us awake.

The camp site was amazing and great for a group. I will say, there is plenty of parking for up to 8 vehicles but it is in designated area by the road and ideal for tent camping. We had a couple camper vans and just placed them close to the parking edge. I felt like the fire ring was too close to the car parking area. Otherwise, the proximity to the beach and water was great and we enjoyed the spot immensely.

Bring your own water as the water in camp was not drinkable. It was yellow and had sediment in it. Didn’t even allow our dog to drink it. The winds each day did not allow us to use the bbq or outdoor gas griddle. The site was gorgeous though.

It would’ve been nice to have both bathrooms with locks on it before the grounds opened (women’s did not by Site 21; I did report it but it was never addressed while we were there for 4 more days). Camp Host did a great job over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend.
