Lava Lake Campground was very pleasant. Nice spacious spots. Water and restrooms and graywater dump were nice to have. Lucky to have nice camping neighbors as well. It was less buggy and warmer than the campgrounds a little to the north.

campground suffers from over use. tables are beat. grounds are dusty, compacted. vault toilets are in poor condition. this campground should be closed for a year. new tables, regrade and gravel parking, rework vault toilets, more water faucets, and just let the landscape rest and rejuvenate.

This site is UNREAL! Clean, large and the views are amazing!!!
They have vault toilets and water accessible in multiple areas throughout the site. Lava Lake Resort has a store and showers (huge bonus).

The campground was not ready for guests. The fish house was never opened. Water was not turned on until the 2nd day we were there. The lake was planted the second day after our arrival, and as a result, fishing was awful. The camping site was excellent.
