About Willow Prairie Horsecamp
Willow Prairie Horse Camp is nestled in tall timber at an elevation of 4.4 ft just southwest of Mt. Mc Loughlin, near a beautiful meadow.
The camp was converted to a horse camp in 1990 with the addition of 19 mi of interconnecting horseback riding trails. The renovation was made possible through a partnership between the Forest Service and the Coalition of Equestrian Clubs, which provided much of the labor for this wonderful facility.

This is a great campground! Beautiful corrals ,very clean area. The camp host, Dawn was amazing and extremely helpful! The vent on the toilets may need to be cleared! Otherwise the bathroom was very clean , just has an unpleasant odor.
Will definitely be back next year

The camp host at Willow Prairie is the BEST!!!! Hospitality for all campers, cleanliness of campground and facility maintenance is excellent. And the trails are well marked, very scenic and fun!!

Campground is very nice, although sites were likely designed before people started hauling large Living Quarters horse trailers, so some are great and others are hard to get into. The camp host is wonderful, helpful - could not be better. One of the best parts of horse camping here are the very well marked trails and the free Avenza Maps app which shows all the trails and gives distances between points and allows you to track your rides. Camp fees are very reasonable, especially compared to the now jacked up Jackson Co camping fees at Lily Glen.

What a beautiful campground and the trails are fantastic. The camp host is amazing. She goes above and beyond to help. She keeps the campground pristine. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Our stay was amazing. The trails were mapped and easy to follow. The camp host, Dawn, was there if you need anything and kept everything clean and tidy. Can't wait to return next year.

The camp was very clean, Camp Host was very knowledgeable about the surroundings and kept us update about hornets, wasps and bees. Keeping us safe. And the trails were well marked. Rode a lot and had a blast.
