I was camp #9 and there was not a tiny bit of shade all day. Behind the camp are cows are they were loud all night long. I also was not impressed with the trails. It was more like riding on someone's ranch than in the mountains and the trails were not well marked. The markings they had were very confusing as you are not sure which way the trail # on the sign was representing. It just wasn't what I expected.

We had a great time exploring this area. The camp ground is very nice and the camp hosts are terrific people that have been involved with this campground for quite some time. They have a ton of great stories to tell and they know everyone.
The only knock against this place is the heavy use. The horse corrals at each site were soaked with urine and there was no time between visits for it to dry up. The smell of ammonia was hard to get away from while in camp.
We'll go back as there is so much more to explore.
