We had a great time at this great group campsite. The only real issue is the constant flow of traffic attempting to pull. in and use the bucks while we are trying to social distance and keep ourselves (immunocompromised friends as well) safe.

Red Diamond is a fantastic campground. A ton of space and very clean. Easily accommodated our 6 vehicles and like 8 tents. We probably didn't need the whole site, but it was nice to have our site gated so that passers by didn't crash the party. The only downside was the restroom situation. It's a couple of Bucks and by the time we got to them they were literally full to the brim. I didn't dare sit down for fear of coming in contact with the nastiness. The Bucks itself was clean, but too full to use. Something permanent would of course be the preference, but at a minimum the thing needs to be emptied more often.

We were also a bit bummed that the river was so not really easily accessible from the campground. We were thinking we could maybe fish from the bank, or at least sit by the river, but there was no chance. It was densely wooded with a steep slope to get down there, and then no room to cast or put a chair.

All that said, we had a great time, the host was fantastic, and we're hoping to be back over the years and see more improvements to the site.

Excellent campground. There is not a huge amount of privacy at the site, since it's right along the road, but it is gated, which does deter some, if not all.
