The campsite was tucked into the trees and shaded, just as the pictures online showed. This was our second time staying at this park, the first time was 2-3 years ago. The park is very neat and clean as well as the restrooms. Park hosts were seen throughout the morning hours keeping things in order and were always friendly and helpful with questions.
Our reason for staying was to see our grandson's baseball game in Eugene and the very easy access to the Rails-t-Trails, just north of the park. We even rode the few miles into town on the paved rail line and enjoyed lunch at the Covered Bridge Brewery. Highly recommend!
Were both retired and stayed Tuesday thru Friday, so not to many campers to deal with when leaving and using the dump station located next to the exit.

We really enjoyed our stay along the river - only neigbors were two different canadian geese families taking their goslings out for a swim and foraging along the river bank. We saw a Wood duck drake and hen foraging also -- beautiful! A great blue heron made a couple of appearances as well as a beaver that slapped his tail one evening. The bike trail was great - especially enjoyed the rail-trail sections. We also liked visiting Wildwood Falls and the Dorena covered bridge.

I love Schwarz. It's safe, well maintained, and well monitored. There's lots of activities like hiking, fishing, swimming, cornhole, horseshoes. And even a play ground for the kids. There's lots of open space for any other activities.

This is a beautifully kept park!!! The spots are well-spaced with plenty of room between sites. Its spacious and so lush and green. The trails are wide and clear. It’s one of the best places we’ve ever visited. We will definitely be back.

Please note! This spot (058) is a pull-through driveway that is clearly meant for an RV. Despite what the picture looks like, there is no grass on this site. That "grass" is the huge compacted gravel driveway and it's not there anymore.
This site is very wide and spans a huge amount of land adjacent to the water, which is awesome for maximizing your setup to be next to the water. But as for a grassy area for a tent, it doesn't exist. I had to put my tent on the driveway and man, did my feet hurt from the large jagged gravel pieces underneath the tent.
Site 057 next door on the other hand, had an amazing grassy area for a tent and it was also right on the river. More private even.
Regardless of site details, this whole region of the campsite is tucked away under trees with lots of shade and significantly more privacy than the rest of the campgrounds. I would definitely recommend this general region.
For an RV or a van: 5/5
For a tent: 2/5

Clean campsites, the shower has warm water, volunteer staff are friendly and helpful. Appreciate the ability to use the dump station and refill water for longer stays. Would really like the dump station water hose to be fixed so that we could screw the hose into our back water flush and clean our toilet. Have been advised it's on backorder for six months due to procurement difficulties. We really like this campsite and return frequently to ride the Row River Trail. Thanks!
