Schwarz Park is always a favorite place to go. The staff is friendly and answers questions cheerfully. The area is kept clean and they keep the restrooms clean and well stocked. The grounds are well kept. When we reported a bee problem, they took care of it that night. The park is excellent. Now if the rains would come back, the filling of Dorena reservoir would make it even better. We used the park as a base camp for us to go up and explore the Bohemia Mining area - clear skies and you could see for miles. The range at the fire lookout was glad to see us - he must get lonely up in the tower. Great place with great people. The covered bridges in the area were enjoyable.

Excellent campground! A bit busy so the bathrooms were a little funky, but you're off the road and by a beautiful river!

I had high hopes for our stay at Schwarz Park. However, the information online about this campground is misleading. It is not on Dorena Lake, but on a small creek that was once connected to the lake and is now dammed. There is no lake access from the campground, you have to drive to get there. Also on our first and only morning there a crew of landscapers came through the campground around 10:30 am and mowed the area leaving all the families trying to enjoy a peaceful morning at camp in a cloud of dust and debris. Everything in our site was covered in dirt and grass clippings. I asked them to move to a different area and they were very rude and another one of them came close to my site and spewed even more dust all over my and my sons belongings. All our kitchen supplies were filthy and we had dirt in our eyes and mouths. I attempted to get a refund for the night but the volunteer was unable to help me and I haven’t heard from the park staff even though the volunteer said she would contact the higher ups and get back to me. We definitely will not be returning.

Lovely quiet campground with large sites. So appreciated the flush toilets and hot showers. Only problem was sinks in women’s bathroom non-functional for first day, but it was fixed for rest of time. I’ve recommended this campground several times already.

This place is awesome. Although it is mostly RV's . Everybody went to bed at 9 PM. No blairing radios or TV's or noisy people. And showers real clean and even hot if you want, no quarters needed.
I will be back with the America Beautiful Pass, I have now.
