Always enjoy our trips there. Weather was good, camp site clean, good neighbors. Only negative was the fish cleaning station was in very bad condition, drain at ground level plugged, gut cans reeked and not cleaned the week we were there. Garbage bins were also foul. It’s a wonder the area wasn’t overrun with bears and coyotes. Never seen it like this before.

Busier than usual at boat dock and parking was full as Princess Creek campground and dock was closed.

Sunset Cover is a very beautiful campground, right on Odell Lake, with spacious sites that are nicely spaced and landscaped for privacy, but it's just too close to Highway 58 if you're a light sleeper. We had the unfortunate luck to camp during road construction, which happened the first night starting at 3:00 a.m. and continued into the next night until 11:30 p.m. Still, we had planned to stay several more days but our dog experienced a medical emergency (not due to the camp conditions) and we had to leave early. The camp hosts, Vera and Paul, were very nice and the grounds were extremely clean. The pit toilets were the nicest I've ever experienced in a campground. If not for the closeness of the major highway, we would definitely camp there again.
