Great spot for a mid-week camping retreat. Site 27 ended up being very sunny, and during the heat wave wasn't desireable, but I would choose another spot in a heartbeat. Quietest campground EVER, in my experience.

We’ve been going here for years and love Odell. Unfortunately the poor maintenance and lack of any improvements really stands out at Trapper Creek, which is frustrating given the fees we pay. Recreation.gov is lacking in that there is no enforcement for now-shows. The week we were there, we saw several sites sit vacant that still showed booked on the website. How about a policy that people are charged double if they don’t show up; get the booking system updated! Fill some potholes and put in a boat ramp like Princess Creek has down the lake. Spend $3 and put an elbow on the #1 water spigot.

Trapper Creek is a beautiful, quiet campground. Unfortunately we camp using solar and the thick trees were a hindrance to our panels so we left for another campground. Otherwise, it was a great campground.

The camp is needing repairs and the brush and overgrown tree's are becoming a hazard for tall rvs, the garbage cans were overflowing the picnic table's are rotting into the ground and are so low you can't hardly get into them, the trails are becoming overgrown and the potholes in the driveway have been there for years, seriously fix the damn potholes, it would only take a half a load of gravel for Christ's sake,

A beautiful little campground! Our site was a double which comfortably fit our truck and trailer and another large vehicle and tent. The site was very clean. The toilet was also very clean and well maintained, and the camp host was available and hospitable.

From I-5 take exit 188A, heading west on Highway 58 for 62.4 miles, then continue 1.9 miles south on Road 5810 to the campground.

- Parking spurs may not be perfectly level
- Hookups are not available
- Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per single tent site. Two RV’S with tow vehicle per double site or two vehicles per double tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- During your time in Central Oregon, you can find wildfire, prescribed fire and smoke information at centraloregonfire.org
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Camping or otherwise occupying a single location (including leaving camping equipment and/or related supplies) for a period longer than 14 consecutive calendar days is prohibited. ‘Location’ means the occupied area, the occupied campsite, and the National Forest System lands in the immediate vicinity thereof. Camping or occupying any location on all National Forest lands for more than 28 calendar days total during a calendar year is prohibited.
- NO generator use is allowed in campgrounds. Silent power banks or battery powered devices are allowed.
