The camp was clean. It would be nice to have an additional manure bin at the loop near the trailhead for the corrals at the far end.Two camps near us ran their generators ALL night! We notified the camp host and they appologized and didn't run them all night again. The trails were cleared for the most part, dusty and some were through the burned area. We did about 18 miles each day in a loop.We were able to ride our horses to the island in Crescent Lake. That was fun.The only real good views arre at Diamond View Lake, the rest of the trails are through a green tunnel.

The camp host was excellent and helpful. However, several other campers ran their generators all night long, claiming they "fell asleep" and "didn't know there were quiet hours." This made for a long and miserable night on Thursday. Several of us complained to the camp host who sympathized and said that she would talk to them and let them know the rules. Thank you to the camp host. The following night the generators were turned off at 10p which was so nice. Unfortunately, promptly at 6a they were turned on again. If the camper lasted all night without the generator, why did it need to be turned back on so soon? Please consider banning generators from your horse campgrounds. Most of us who go camping do so to leave civilization behind and to enjoy nature. Hard to do with a loud generator running all day and all night.

# 9 is big enough for 2 trailers. Easy access to water and bathroom. Cell service on att worked most of the time.

Corrals are in excellent condition, great trails. Maybe best camp host ever!

This was the first time camping at Whitefish Horse Camp. The campsites varied depending on the number of rigs that can fit into a space and the number of horses. The camp is clean and well taken care of. I would say that the only thing I would really like to see improved is the place to put manure. There is only one location and so for me it was a bit difficult to haul manure. Make sure you have a cart that can make the distance. I also wish that the pens were checked before people leave the campsite. We always cleaned the pens as a necessary part of leaving camp. Sadly, not everyone does the same thing. The trails are wonderful and well marked. All in all, e really enjoyed Whitefish Horse Camp. The camp hosts were lovely people and I would certainly camp here again!

Always a wonderful place to camp and ride, the camp host was very nice. He drove through 2 times each day so it was easy to catch him when needed.

The camp ground is nice, its roomy Most sites have room for the trailers to be parked in, not all are level which is a challenge and some are tight to get a trailer in to. During our stay (two times) there was no wheel barrow to get the horse droppings from camp to the dump. We are not accustomed to needed to carry a wheel barrow for this purpose, usually these are provided.

It was a bit busy at Tranquil Cove, but the trail from camp to the lake brings ya to a quiet part of the lake beach. There was a mt bike race on Saturday that we were not notified about.. racing on a very short section of trail to Oldenberg, but we survived. Camp clean and quiet! The whitefish trail was still buggy but the trail to Oldenberg Lake was lovely.

General
- Whitefish Horse Camp is intended for use by campers with horses. Horses must be kept in stalls provided
- Horse Campers must use Certified Weed-Seed-Free Hay when staying at any USFS Horse Campground. Horse trails are accessible from this campground
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- During your time in Central Oregon, you can find wildfire, prescribed fire and smoke information at centraloregonfire.org
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Camping or otherwise occupying a single location (including leaving camping equipment and/or related supplies) for a period longer than 14 consecutive calendar days is prohibited. ‘Location’ means the occupied area, the occupied campsite, and the National Forest System lands in the immediate vicinity thereof. Camping or occupying any location on all National Forest lands for more than 28 calendar days total during a calendar year is prohibited.
- NO generator use is allowed in campgrounds. Silent power banks or battery powered devices are allowed.
