The boat ramp & were great. campground very nice and camp hostess very nice and helpful. Only one complaint - we wanted to be close to the restrooms, but the whiff of sewer smell was very bad at times. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay

Great week fishing and camping!! Camp hosts have been great and friendly. The new boat slip reservations are great!!!! When we take the little boat we always moor in the inside small slips. Most people use to be courteous and moor small boats in small slips. For the last few years it's been getting worse about people mooring small boats on the outside edge of the dock where big boats have to moor. We now have a 25 footer that's 8 foot wide and too big to fit in the small slips. Last year it was miserable trying to moor at this dock because too many people with 10-18 foot boats were mooring on the outside edge of the dock. They refused to moor on the inside small slips and were rude to the camp hosts and boaters with bigger boats. Those people are the reason that PGE had to start having the reserved slips. We now can moor the 25 footer on the outside edge and don't have to worry about whether or not we'll be able to moor when we come in at dark from fishing all day.
Thank you PGE and the camp hosts for instituting the reserved mooring slips!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Now if we can only get rude people to quit fishing, swimming, loitering, ect. on the boat ramp and docks...........The signs haven't been working and people have been very rude to the camp hosts. It's a safety issue when people are swimming on the boat ramp while people are trying to launch or load their boats. It's a safety issue trying to moor and dodge lures being chucked at people while their coming into the dock. It's a safety issue trying to load or unload the boat when the walkways are filled with people sunbathing and loitering on the docks.
