Some campsites are reasonable private. Pretty noisy though with loud talkers and highway traffic noise all night.
Overall a good alternative to a cheap motel but not somewhere to quietly contemplate the natural world.
Sleep here if you must but plan to go elsewhere during the day for activities.

This campground is our current favorite. Shady, well spaced sites. Nice fire pits and the picnic table moves. Many sites with flat spaces suitable for tents. You see the other campers but not enough to care. We stayed in 15 and scouted out a few other good spots. Good water access. This place is a foragers paradise. Huckleberries, salal, thimble, and blackberries. The walk to the dunes is a winding trail (watch those roots) that ends with a well placed bench to view the dunes. We woke up early and hiked the loop and watched the steam roll across the water. We didn't see the camp hosts at all, but we didn't need to. You can clearly get to know them by the way the site is kept clean and maintained. Those bathrooms were hands down the cleanest and best smelling we've used yet. Sanitizer dispenser and all. Well done.

Beautiful, private sites in a lush, shaded forest. Very quiet campground, friendly hosts, lots of great places to walk around. This campground was a favorite camping spot when I was a child, and coming back as an adult made me realize what a hidden gem this place is. Tons of ripe blackberries and thimble berries, plenty of kindling around, and two absolutely gorgeous lakes. Dune lake is excellent for wading and swimming, sandy, clean, warm, and shallow. Alder lake has an absolutely magical trail around it with a branching off trail to nearby sand dunes. The only downside is that we could hear the highway from our site on Alder loop, though our campsite was one of the closest ones to the highway. We will be returning!

Campground was nice. Clean, mostly quiet, easy access. Our only issue was the bathrooms. Could use more bathrooms as they were always busy.
