What Guests Are Saying

Boulder Flat Campground is a clean and peaceful site with excellent river access, making it a great base for exploring nearby hikes like Toketee Falls. Campsites vary in privacy and views, with Site 2 and Site 3 being particularly favored for their proximity to the river and cleanliness. While some road noise and minor overgrowth issues were noted, overall visitors highly recommend the campground for its beautiful location and amenities.

Great spot in the Campsite. Only issue was think the campsite has quite am incline due to water movements I am assuming as it is at a lower level.

All sites have water access. Site 9 is very large and private at end but right next to the road and little water access. Site 8 was private if you have a trailer as the trailer blocks your view of everyone else and still leaves you a river view. Site 7 had the best river view and nice river access but was not private for tent camper as tent site is right along the campground road. This was a great base camp for exploring all the hikes around the area and relaxing in the Umpqua on hot afternoons. Road noise along 138 was loud, so if that is a deal breaker for you, you’ll want to go elsewhere.

Boulder Flat was perfect! We were at campsite 2 which is such a great spot in the campground - it’s right by the entrance to the campground but it’s not busy with traffic or anything. It’s a larger site with easy river access and not far from the vault toilet (but not too close that you can smell it). One hour drive to Crater Lake & 20 minutes to Umpqua Hot Springs!
You definitely have to pop over to the Dry Creek store too (cute store dogs + an insane selection of pringles lol).
Overall, recommend Boulder Flat!!

Peaceful and beautiful campground along the North Umpqua River. We camped at Site 3 and could hear the river from our site. Even though there is not a camp host, the cleanliness of the vault toilet was 5 stars and there was an abundance of toilet paper. Overall we loved our campsite. It did have a path to the river but it was slightly overgrown where as Site 2 was not. This would not keep me from staying at #3 again. Other sites that I would also consider staying are 5 and 6 because there is also a great view of the river. Campsite 3's view of the river was hidden by several mossy trees which was also very nice. Campsite 9 would be a great site for a group, but it is not near the river as the other sites are. Will definitely return! Toketee Falls Trailhead is also close by and a great hike to check out too.

Site #6 has the best river access and a swimming hole, I stayed here for 3 nights. BUT, every day all day you could smell the nasty restroom that’s right in front of the campground. Smelled like shit at our campground it was disgusting. Made some calls and tried to get someone to come out and clean it but nobody ever came.

This park was one of the parks that I visited on my 20-day road trip. This park is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. I have been to Switzerland this this year as well, and I have to tell you that I really thought I was back in Switzerland when I saw this park.
The campsite was very clean and at a great location. There are a few hikes around that campsite. The campsites are nicely spaced out so you're not that close to the next site. I had a great time there.

The campground and site were as beautiful as always BUT the smoke from fires in the Willamette Valley made the environment unhealthy so I stayed only the first night of 5 that were reserved.
