Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. Didn't realize there would be so many motorcycles in the site. Noise lasts into late night like at least 11 pm. Avoid if prefer a quiet night.

We have been camping a sandbeach and riding at sandlake for years. Campground is nice, stays relatively clean - spaces are wide and level - bathrooms get cleaned regularly but with the amount of people using them on the weekends they can get pretty messy. Appreciated the addition of soap and water station at a few of the restrooms. Being a riding family, we are prepared for the large amounts of people and noise, but I have seen a big increase in the amount of unsafe actions through the campground. Excessive speeding through the campground - dogs getting off leash and approaching other dogs/people - lots of unattended children. I know that not all of these can be addressed by camp hosts, but I have seen forest service and sheriffs patrol the campgrounds years prior, actually issuing tickets and advising over safety concerns. In the 4 days we were there, I did not see either patrol the campground once. My family and I want to continue this tradition but really need to see safety rules/laws enforced. Thank you

We didn't know it was an ATV park. The ATVs were very loud, and the drivers often blared music. They drove, blasted music and set off LOUD fireworks well into the early morning.
The campsite itself was lovely. We just wouldn't choose to stay there again now that we know it's more of an ATV crowd.

The campground was clean and very close walk to the beach, it’s a great location for a nice campground with very close access to the beach.
