This is a launch pad for those with motorize vehicles to play in the sand. If you're looking for peace and quiet, select another campground. I understood this and came just to get the experience of camping close to the ocean with my new tent.
That said, the bathrooms were very dirty, smelly, no toilet paper and unkept. The drinking fountains needed maintenance. Considering that the campground is so popular, it makes no sense to abuse the people who pay to be there.
In short, poorly managed.

This is an ATV hellscape. People zoom through the campground at all hours of the night. I'm sure if that's your jam it's a fun spot, but if you were looking for a peaceful campsite, look elsewhere. Nice to have bathrooms with running water.

Lovely beach, goes for miles with absolutely no one around. You have to walk around a dune to get there but once you do, its wonderful.
Sites could be cleaner. Lots of cigarette butts and bottle tops around. Other reviews of the atv noise are 100% accurate. They are respectful of the quiet times of the campgrounds though and don't seem to get rolling until mid morning. However between 530 and 830pm it sounds like you're at a monster truck show. I would stay here again though just for the beach.

Sandbeach Campground is accessible via Highway 101, which is approximately 11 miles to the east from Tillamook. Sandlake Road (County Road 871) connects directly to Highway 101 and leads to Galloway Road.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Motorized vehicles on sand must comply with Oregon OHV regulations.
