Diamond Lake campground is always nice. It's large and can feel crowded , some sites are close to the main road. The restrooms are camping condition, but have flush toilets. The views are lovely, lake is relatively clean. Nice place for kids or to relax or ride around the lake on a paved path. You can even rent a boat at the resort. This is a great natural lake.

We reserved two campsites K23 and K26. According to the map they were opposite each other. In fact they were offset from each other by more than one campsite in-between. I hope that can be fixed for future campers that are camping with two families. The other problem we had was that it was not indicated that two level parking places is impossible in one campsite, at least in Loop K. We will be looking for more detailed information next time and hope we don't make that mistake again.

You really need to invest some resources in fixing the water issues. Bathrooms and potable water within the campground is scarce.

Great camp site! Large, spacious, and a great distance away from nearby sites. Centrally located to both the bathroom and water refill. Beautiful views right on the water. Based on the other reviews we were super nervous about mosquitos but my husband and I only got bit once and it was during a trip to the bathroom (not even at our site). We definitely would come back again! (We even had someone stop at our site and make a note to try and book it their next trip). The only consideration for a group booking is portions of the site are sloped so if you have a party member with limited mobility, you may want to find a more level ground.

We have camped at Diamond Lake many times over the last decade and really like the campground. This year we were surprised to find porta-potties near our campsite next to the restroom, due to a broken water line. The porta-potties were very full and very stinky. When there was a breeze you could really smell them at our campsite. We arrived on a Sunday and departed on Friday, one day before our reservation was up because of the nearly unbearable toilet situation. We aren’t super picky and have used port-potties and vault toilets in numerous previous situations. If they had been pumped out every few days it would have been great. We’ll definitely call before reserving for next summer to see if those restrooms have been repaired.

This is a good campsite if you want lots of amenities. With the lake, camp store, showers, flushing toilets, and more this is a convenient and popular campground. If you’re looking for something more private or primitive, this may not be the right campsite for you. I read a lot about bugs (and there were bugs), but I got way less mosquito bites than anticipated. Also really convenient location for visiting crater lake. I would stay here again.
