This campground was initially established as a group reservation location but this year they opened it up for a limited time to individual campers and we actually had the whole campground to ourselves! They have cleaned up the campground of the fire debris and it is a comfortable quiet place to camp. There are still some evergreens that help with shade and the surrounding hillside was full of green shrubbery and wildflowers. Across the road, is the Millpond campground (not reopened yet) but there are some good swimming holes where Rock Creek runs through it. There are some good waterfalls hiking trails just up Highway 138 towards Diamond and Crater Lake.

Site was excellent. Hosts were amazing. Too way too long to get our deposit back though and it’s too difficult to make reservations.
