Poole Creek offers a beautiful setting with excellent opportunities for boating, kayaking, and fishing, making it a popular choice for campers. The campsites are spacious and generally well-maintained, providing a peaceful environment, though some guests noted issues with dust, noise from other campers, and restroom cleanliness. Lot 18 is by far the worst campsite at Pool Creek. It's right in the middle of a busy intersection where cars and boats pass by constantly. This lot is more for a family with kids who need easy access to the bathroom, water and trash.
Love Poole creek just not lot 18.

The lake here is nice, but the campground could be better. The outhouses are disgusting and should be cleaned more. There are no lights anywhere along the roads. Road is not well marked in terms of which direction to go. Most the trees have been partially burned in a fire so they look very scraggly. Campsites are ok if you can get one near the lake. I wouldn’t camp here again given the other choices in the area/state.

Beautiful campground next to an equally beautiful lake. But late August and there is a campfire ban in effect. I get that. But we are in a campground with fire rings at each campsite. And it pretty green. Not dry at all. Not being able to have a campfire kinda takes the fun out of camping. And the fishing in the lake was non existent. So honestly we did not enjoy or tie camping at Poole Creek.
