Its sooo close to Toketee Falls which is truly breathtaking. We didnt make it to the Umpaqua Hot Springs because it was closed but its about a 8 mile hike round trip. Crater Lake is a 30 min drive to the North Entrance so getting to the lake is a bit of a trek.
The campground was good but I wouldnt worry about being in either A or B loop because being by the river doesnt really matter since A loop side is technically closer but cant really see the river from those spots.
Other cool spot is Watson Falls which is like a 5 min drive. I think you could just stay 1 night and be happy here.
The downside here is the trash never got picked up when we were there. It was overflowing.

Pretty good campground with surprisingly few mosquitos. No running water. BYO. Vault toilets are cleaned each morning. It's nice being near the falls and lake, away from highway noise.

One of the most beautiful campsites I’ve ever been to. Lots of accessible hiking nearby. The hot springs are awesome! Some sites have private creek access.

We stayed at A8 campsite and had an amazing experience. The campsite is right on the creek (N Umpqua River) and the kids loved running down to the creek and playing in it. There was plenty of room to set up three tents and a large table with benches that we all shared. The site is a brief walk to the restrooms. There is no plumbing, so the restrooms are smelly but they were kept up clean and stocked with toilet paper. There is a beautiful swimming hole to the right of the campground entrance by the bridge, we spent the whole day swimming there. The lake is not very swimmable as the bank are mostly steep. Good experience.

Great campground close to Crater Lake NP. Close to the hot springs and Toketee Falls which was worth the short hike.

Great campsite! Beautiful site right on the river (site A03) with lots of trees. We visited mid October so the campgound was nearly empty and very quiet. One thing to note is that there is no water source so be sure to bring your own supply.

North Umpqua hot springs is a 3 mile hike which was so relaxing! The campsites are large and flat for tents.

Great little campground. Good access to the river, good shade, great hikes just a short drive away. The map made it look like B loop is the one on the river, but it is actually A loop. You get direct access to the river for most A loop campsites.

Campground is in a great location but many guests were noisy and the site we chose (I think it was A9) was right next to another site with no trees or visual barriers in between.
