I love Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods. Marty and her husband are great camp hosts. I just wish the forestry service would maintain the dead trees, campsites ( so dusty) and update the bathrooms. We had a tree fall right behind our campsite, luckily no one was hurt or affected (could have been worse).

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I have been to! We snagged a spot close to the lake and it was a great decision. Site was flat enough to be comfortable in our tent. We will be back next summer for more than one night!

This is a very serene setting with ample space between campsites. The toilets are clean and easily accessible. If you are tent camping, there are sites that are right down near the lake. And speaking of the lake, it is quite gorgeous, especially with Mount McLoughlin in the distance. There is a camp host in the campground and the nearby resort offers great food, including pizza.
One thing that I typically find at campsites is the noise level continues far beyond the "quiet time". This campsite is no different, but I accept that, as people are there to unwind and have fun. Earplugs enabled me to get through the noise, even though I was awakened at 2 AM to someone hooping and hollering.
This is the third time I have stayed at Lake of the Woods and it certainly won't be my last.

Aspen point is a nice campground. The lake is beautiful. There are a lot of boats although out on the lake so wrapped kayaking isn’t the best place for that. The lodge offers a lot of activities.

Bathrooms were not cleaned consistently. Had a very strong nasty smell the whole weekend.

The weather was phenomenal and the camp hosts were amazing. The restaurant has an attentive and friendly staff, with an excellent and a warm environment. Plenty of trails around the lake for some scenic hiking, a wonderful lake for swimming, weekends have music and movie nights and both the store and marina offer great alternatives for treats and memorabilia. As always, all the staff you will encounter are awesome. Nearby be sure to check out the wonder of what is “Crater Lake.” Overall, a hidden gem and one of the most fantastic places to make camping memories.
