We inadvertently booked a non electric site which turned out to great since it had more seclusion than the full electric sites. Great local mountain bike trails through old-growth forest and lava fields. Staff was incredibly friendly.

We always feel safe at Lake of the Woods the camp hosts are on top of any noise or problems. The lake is fabulous everything about it is beautiful. The resort remodel is gorgeous we love walking there from the Sunset campground and having a hamburger and a beer. It’s just sad that it’s getting so crowded wished it was still just our 🤫 secret

I loved that generators are not permitted to run between 10pm and 8am. Helped me get some peace and quiet so I could sleep.

Pretty lake. Very popular though so not much seclusion at the boat dock but it looked like a couple of people parked before the launch spot on the main road and had a nice private areas. We took a dip and it was cool but not freezing. Some small waves due to wind. There were a few nice trails to the north that were easy for running. There were small cabins to the south.
