Road is paved all the way in to where it branches between the three, then it's gravel with only a few potholes.\n\nLake is scenic, and there's a hiking trail that goes to the top of a nearby mountain. Mixed-species conifer forest with mature trees, none are dying from bugs.\n\nTo get to the main campground and picnic areas, go straight where the paved road takes a hard right, cross the cattle guard, and go almost to the end. To get to the second campground, take the hard right and go less than a mile until you see a sign with an icon of a camper trailer and an arrow. Go where the arrow points.
