What Guests Are Saying
The Ochoco Divide Group Site offers a beautiful natural setting, especially in spring with blooming flowers and minimal bugs, making it a great campground. While the site is not suitable for large groups due to limited parking and space, it features a nice firepit area and a clean, private pit toilet. Visitors may want to be cautious of hornets and consider bringing a trap, but overall, the quiet atmosphere and stargazing opportunities are highlights of the experience.

This camp ground had a great lay out with most of the sites retracted/elevated from the main circuit. Easy access to Painted Hills and Ochoco NP. Mountain Lookout was a great hike we wanted to do again. Mitchell is a quaint little town, and probably the closest gas station. Don't miss the quirky unofficial Mitchel museum. It is worth the visit just for a chat with the local "manager". Social anthropological study indeed.
