This campground is set off of the dunes, in a National rec area. There are a lot of OHVs, so from like 8 til about 11 you can hear them. It didn’t ruin our experience, but it’s not a quiet peaceful place. We were about a 7 minute bike ride down to the beach to the ocean. That was so lovely. Bathrooms were clean, and for the most part the campground was too. Our site was right next to the trailhead. So the early morning hikers woke me up, and we had people walking by most of the day. But it wasn’t awful.

We had a fine experience here. The campsites are tiny, so if you are tent camping you’ll have to put your tent on the cement. We didn’t have much of a mosquito issue maybe because it was windy. You do hear people out on the dunes but it wasn’t horrible and didn’t disturb my or the kids sleep, we did have a sound machine for them though. I love that it’s so close to such an awesome beach! The trail around the lake was nice to walk around too. Overall pleasant experience but the tiny campsite was a bit of a letdown.

Great campground, we loved the trees and foliage in between campsites so you don’t feel like you are on top of your neighbors. It’s also close to all kinds of activities and amenities. Keep in mind you will hear all the activity on the dunes. We Definitely will be coming back.

Campsites were nice very nice with bench, bear box and fire ring on each site. Far enough apart from other campers. Toilette and garbage bins in euch loop. But the shower situation is bad. Only three showers located in loop F for the whole campground. (I did not check all other looks though, was toll by others that these are thr only ones). Would expect more.

The previous campers never left so when I arrived at 5pm on my check-in day, they were still there. No attendant and lots of people camping right next to the spot I was supposed to have, so I left.

When you have abolished your reservation only policy, many people will have a wonderful stay with hiking, beach, wooded campsites, birds and chipmunks

Stayed in space #18. Weather was super nice & sunny. The lake was quite low, but beautiful. Trail around lake is one of my favorites. Nice to have a large dumpster for trash. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. There was no camp host. I missed seeing the gentleman who was hosting in past visits.
Looking forward to next visit!
