What Guests Are Saying
Horsfall Beach offers a great location for beach activities and off-roading, with clean facilities and friendly staff. Many guests appreciate the proximity to both the beach and dune riding, although some report noise issues from late-night parties and ATV use. Overall, it’s a popular spot for families and campers, despite a few concerns about maintenance and site management.

Great location for a quick overnight or an extended stay for beach combing or off-roading in the sand dunes.

People who come there to drive ATV should not be allowed to drive at midnight. Place where all those drives are drinking during the evening and there go for a ride at midnight until early morning. Terrible experience

No on-site Camp Host. Someone blocked off half my site at 11 AM on checkout day because they were checking in “early” without permission and before I had to leave. Very noisy party spot 24/7.

We had a great time! I will say that the grounds need some major upkeep and garbage needs picked up. Didn’t use the restrooms so not sure how they have been maintained.

We make reservations here every year for the past 20 years. We have to book 6 months in advance to get a spot for 1 week. Lately ATV Takeover has been ruining our vacation. They dont release the dates until a few months prior so we cannot avoid it. They get free roam of the entire dunes but this year we couldn't access "their part" u less we paid MORE money yet again. The groups of riders were over 50 ATVS at a time riding from Boxcar to the beach and extremely unsafe on the tiny access roads. They tore the sand up so bad it was unsafe for fourwheelers to ride these access roads due to the ruts the ATVS left. I have little kids that ride and I refuse to let them ride due to safety. This is unacceptable. I pay my money, I follow the rules and yet I am unable to enjoy the recreation due to this "event". If I am scheduling 6 months in advance their dates can be released just as early so family friendly campers like myself can enjoy the dunes and avoid the absolute chaos this event causes. If this continues I will be forced to quit this long tradition.

We stayed at Horsfall beach Campground for the UTV Takeover. This was a great location. Close enough to the event but far enough away too. The RV space (#33) was not very level but it worked. Important to note that there is no space between spaces. This is a parking lot that has painted boundaries and numbers for RV and there are also regular day use parking spaces. Next time, we will reserve two spaces to accommodate our trailer, truck, and SxS.

A very quiet stay. A camp host would be a good addition.

Close enough to hear the crashing waves at night. Restroom, tables and firepit were available. It's a large paved lot with lines and numbers. We waited for our space due to public parking. There was not a host available.
