We were just passing through for 1 night. the bathrooms were closed so there was a chemical toilet there. Other than that it was fine.

This is a beautiful little campground. Everything is well groomed and the bushes look like they have all been trimmed up. Very quiet (during the week, don't know about week-ends), and you hear no road noise from Hwy 101. This is a great location to venture out from. A trip to Coos Bay and a cruise down Cape Arago Highway is not that far away. Just outside the entrance and about a quarter of a mile down the road is a Dollar General. Outside of the Dollar General store you have to drive into Coos Bay or Reedsport to do any shopping.
Reserve America does a great job in showing pictures of each of the sites. Getting in and out of here with a big rig is not a problem. Very high clearances, but be aware of which site you choose. Some won’t work for bigger rigs. For those of you with solar panels be aware that not all of the sites are sunny.
I would avoid at all cost site #44. It looks like the sand dune behind the campground has completely taken over this site.

Now there are a few negative things to report. One is the water situation here. This campground has been without water for some time now, so the bathrooms are closed and portable toilets have been put up. If you are a fully self contained RV camper this won’t be a problem. There is a state park about a mile north of this place that provides water and a dump station at no charge, so it is easy to fill up there before coming into the campground.
The pavement is sinking in places. The dips can be hard to see, so drive very slowly, otherwise you might get a good jolt.
A great place to camp. Cozy and quiet.

We were notified last minute of the lack of water, then we went with water. The porta potty's were constantly full and I never saw them pumped out. I know this was a temporary situation but more notice and the ability to prepare would have been better! Love the campground, loved the hosts!

Campsites were relatively private and access to the dunes was nice.. There was supposed to be potable water and flushing toilets but they were having water issues which it did state when I booked. However, the pit toilets were over flowing. It was very disgusting and unsanitary. I had been camping for free on BLM Land on my way to this area and it was way more sanitary digging a hole for bodily waste.

Overall it was a fair camp ground for a last minute trip to get out of the heat. We were aware of the water situation and lack of flushable toilets when we went, however we were not prepared to have the Porto potties unusable due to being so full. Otherwise I would rate as good.

- Guidelines for a safe visit to the Siuslaw National ForestThe Siuslaw’s campgrounds, day use areas, and trails continue to be open for public enjoyment. While you are visiting the Forest, please adhere to the following guidelines. These guidelines will help ensure a safe and healthy visit for you and your family, our employees and volunteers, and other visitors: Please keep in mind that restrooms are generally cleaned and disinfected at least once daily at the more popular campgrounds and day use sites, and once to three times a week at other sites.Be prepared to provide your own soap, sanitizer, or disinfectant.If no trash receptacle is provided, please protect your public lands by packing out your waste and trash.
- Forest Service-operated campsites on the Siuslaw National Forest are currently available by online reservation only. Visitors can make reservations online through this website (preferred), or via phone by calling the recreation.gov phone line at 877-444-6777. If you call this number, please be prepared for longer-than-usual wait times. Please note that the Siuslaw National Forest does not have any control over the recreation.gov phone line, so we ask you to please prepare by making reservations well in advance.
- There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit.
- No RV hookups available in this campground
- Sites must occupied within first 24 hours of arrival time. Otherwise unoccupied sites will be considered a "no-show" and will be released.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. - There is a 2 vehicle limit per campsite
- This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this.
