What Guests Are Saying

Lepage Park is appreciated for its friendly staff, clean facilities, and beautiful waterfront location near the John Day and Columbia rivers, making it a great stop for travelers. Many guests noted the park's well-maintained sites and good fishing opportunities, though some expressed disappointment with the restroom cleanliness and limited amenities, particularly for RV campers. Although it was extremely windy, all else was well exept for the obvious and disgusting bathroom availability for the over 150 people camped in the tent area. one bathroom with only two toilets and the urinals closed down. They were disgusting inside. Porta potties would be an easy fix to relieve the pressure of usage given the number of campers.

We love camping next to the John Day River. It would be nice if you could buy ice like we used to without having to drive to a town.

Clean quiet park with good swimming area and boat ramp for water recreation. My site was right along the river with plenty of room, with water and electric hookups. The river views and views of surrounding hills are awesome. There have been Bighorn Sheep in years past, but I didn't see any this time. I have paddled up the river and seen river otters, fish leaping for insects, and numerous waterfowl and desert birds. Altogether a very relaxing experience, even with the trains.

We ended up staying only one night of our reservation, because we had a medical emergency and had to take my husband to the ER. The staff at the park was extremely kind and exceptionally helpful! They allowed us to park our trailer up top out of the way and in a safe place, until we could come and get it. We will definitely be back, because the location was beautiful and facilities were great! We were bummed our trip was cut short!

Beautiful area. We stayed in site 9 with a 34’ Clasd A and our truck. We had a cargo trailer but were able to park it in the day use parking area for no additional charge. Thru do have showers and a beautiful day use parking area area we walked around 🤩

Nice campground, a beautiful creek running alongside. Many people were playing or just hanging out in the water. Sites are well maintained. Sites are close together. There is a dishwashing station for those that don't have a trailer or don't want to use it. We happen to have sites 46 and 47 which are close to the hwy so we got a lot of traffic noise through the night. Sister's is a very nice quality town with a rustic western feel.
