What Guests Are Saying

Driftwood Campground offers beautiful lakeside views and spacious, private campsites, making it an appealing destination for camping, hiking, and fishing. While some sites may be sloped and lack shade, the proximity to stunning mountain scenery and activities like paddleboarding enhances the overall experience. However, maintenance issues such as overflowing garbage and unclean bathrooms have been noted, highlighting a need for improved campground services.

We were at site 7. It was very sloped and did not have adequate flat areas for tents. We were there in early July and the mosquitoes, flies and bees were pretty bad. This area may be better late in the season, but I will probably not return to this camp ground.

Even though we had reserved our campsite weeks in advance, there was someone set up in our campsite when we arrived. We searched for a camp host for over an hour before determining that there was no host. After talking to the individual in our site, we learned that he did not find a reserved sign on the campsite post and had already paid for the site...that we also had already paid for. It was incredibly frustrating when we had a reservation that we paid for in advance and the site was not available.

We love the Driftwood campground. On this occasion, there was no toilet paper in the restroom for over one day. We had very noisy neighbors who played music until 11:30 and continued loudly talking until after 2:00 am. We actually left a day early.

Be aware that sites 9-11 are parallel parking up the hill from the actual campsite. Several bigger rvs/trailers were parked along with our truck camper, making it a very awkward fit. Feels like there is enough parking for 2, not 3 sites. Or these should be tent only sites. The site itself was nice but you have to go up and down a steep hill to get to your vehicle.

Pretty nice up here beautiful views and many fish in the lake. Didn’t have the boat rentals open currently since it isn’t hot enough and the bugs were terrible constantly biting and swarming even bug spray didn’t work. Overall a ok experience it was a little confusing to know where to go without a camp host.

Beautiful spot! Huge campsites with a big front porch to the lake shore! Really nice camp neighbors, and lots of stars at which to gaze, can't ask for a lot more than that!

Comparatively spacious sites. Pretty setting. It would be nice if I didn’t have to listen to drones though.

Site #4 was excellent for tents and large beach front. Fishing, biking, hiking options. Great hikes to Little Three Creeks Lake and Tam McArthur.

Had a great time. The camp sites we were on was on a hill, so it made unloading hard work. The campsite felt like it had its own personal beach so that was fun. Lake was fairly busy during day.
