What Guests Are Saying

Whispering Pines Horse Camp offers a beautiful setting and excellent riding trails, making it a favored destination for many visitors. However, the access road requires significant maintenance and some campsites may not accommodate larger rigs due to wooden pylons. While the campground has its charm, improvements in services and trail planning would enhance the overall experience.

The camp host was amazing, very welcoming and helpful. The site is best set up for trailers that have left side access to living quarters. Other than that very clean horse area and beautiful trails to ride!

Beautiful site! Loved it. Only downside was all the people coming into the camp to use it as a day use area. There was a constant stream of people using the one bathroom (And not leaving it clean or with toilet paper). It made me feel a bit uncomfortable about the safety of all our stuff and horses. Maybe put a toilet somewhere people can use it without coming into the horse camp? There is obviously a need for one.

It was great! The camp is very beautiful and very peaceful. The campground host who actually stays down at Cold Springs CG made daily trips up to check on the restrooms and see how the campers were doing. He was super friendly and very helpful!

Check out time

12PM

  • Reserved sites are held until the day after arrival and must be occupied by checkout time to avoid forfeiture.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
