What Guests Are Saying

The campground along the Alsea River is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it ideal for swimming and kayaking. While many enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly hosts, some guests expressed dissatisfaction with individual host interactions and concerns about safety with children riding bikes. Overall, the campground offers a lovely experience, though improvements in host management and accessibility to the river are suggested.

Such a beautiful little campground right on the river. Nice spacious grassy sites. Very clean vault toilets. Kathy the camp host was so nice and friendly. And the river access right there was so convenient for our kayaks.

It is very natural, a lot of grass and forest. And of course the river. A lot of space between parking spaces. It was kept clean. The host was very helpful and friendly. Spaces were marked with reserved dates or marked as open for 1 night or 2 nights. We were able to check with the host and move to a space with more open area to set out our StarLink.

The sites on the east side of the campground get a lot of road noise, but the sites by the river are really nice.

Beautiful location by the river, with a very nice host. Clean bathrooms, calm and quiet in the evenings. This new host is taking very good care, not as the previous one- was quite chaotic.
Thank you so much host for your hard work!

We stayed in space 2, which is by the road. It was noisy, and we had some weird neighbors, but that cant be controlled. What was very impressive was the toilets, they were the cleanest best smelling toilets I think I've ever been in at a campground. The river is nice too!

The location was excellent. It was quiet. The camp manager was very helpful. There were issues with the reservation, but she sorted it out and allowed us to choose from open sites. The sites are large and relatively open. There’s a great open space in the center. I wouldn’t recommend sites near the fish waste station. I did wish the vegetation on the River bank had been trimmed back to allow views of the river.
