What Guests Are Saying

The campground along the Alsea River is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it ideal for swimming and kayaking. While many enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly hosts, some guests expressed dissatisfaction with individual host interactions and concerns about safety with children riding bikes. Overall, the campground offers a lovely experience, though improvements in host management and accessibility to the river are suggested.

Very disappointed that there was no access to the water to fish from the shore, other than the boat dock that had no dock on it.

The site was clean and ready. Its close to the boat ramp and bathroom. My kids loved riding their bikes around. Its about 20 min to waldport. There is not great river access from the site but that was just fine.

Didn't see a camp host for 3 days and when I finally did see her she was so rude and unhelpful. We had to beg for toilet paper from another land and leisure person. The camp site was gross and we had to pick it up when we got there. Having come here for the last 30 years this is the worst I have seen it.

Small, pretty campground along the Alsea River. Beautiful swimming holes, boatramp, and shade trees. Host on site, campground is well cared for. Quiet midweek. Wonderful experience.

The campground host was not very welcoming
The campground host had her own opinion on the rule of vehicles per site
The campground host never gave suitable time for me to have my party move their vehicles before coming by multiple times asking about placement of vehicles
Campground house approached my camp with a pet on a leash, and my pets in my campground felt threatened along with myself, not understanding her decision to approach camp ground guest without giving the option of saying “may I approach with my pet”.

If I use this campground again next year, and I see the same camp host I will leave and request refund

Campground itself was great. The host was rude and not personable. Did not like talking to people. She also would sit there at the end and watch what everyone was doing. Just waiting to say something. She did keep the bathrooms clean though.
