Keenig Creek Campground offers well-maintained sites with good privacy and helpful camp hosts, making it a solid choice for outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. The swimming hole and crystal-clear creek are highlights, though some sites experience noise from nearby highway traffic and logging trucks. Overall, it's suitable as a base camp or day-use spot, especially for those who enjoy nature and tranquility.

My stay at A5 site was bad. The highway is RIGHT there, and it's got very consistant semi traffic, where the trucks are coming down a grade and J-brakeing through out the night, think 3AM alternating periods of dead silence and: BAAAAABABABABABABABABA. While the highway is getting you on one side, there's a gravel road on the NW side with logging trucks.

I got a flat tire off the short gravel road to the site, passenger car. It's the large chunk sharp gravel, not compacted or dirt road, (4x4 / trucks no prob)

The site had the most trash I've ever cleaned out of a campsite.

THE GOOD: Vegetation between sites/privacy is solid, native plant restoration at the campground is great. Swimming hole is top notch (but occupied by screaming kids) The guy that sell's wood and ice down the road is incredibly helpful, friendly, and absolutely worth visiting. The campground's proximity to other stuff to do is full of potential, site could be a great base for all the trails, fishing, hiking, etc etc the area has to offer.

Consider this a day use spot, or a back-up back-up spot. If planning on actually sleeping here, add ear plugs to the kit.

Never camped here, but you have the Wilson River on your left and wonderful hiking trails on your right all set in the awesome Tillamook State Forest, what more can you ask for? ... except maybe a few less ticks, ew!

Stopped here on impulse on my way home to portland from Tunnel beach- and so glad I did! There are area where paid camping is available but you can also use the day use area for non campers to park your car. The creek is mostly shallow and you can look down to the bottom through the crystal clear waters but certain areas appear deep. There are several trails from the parking that lead to the creek and along the trail you can find wild raspberries, and a few really cool plants and flowers. Tia creek would be great for floating. The water was very soothing and cool to the touch. It’s a quiet area with very few traffic.

Camp site was really quite, not a lot of people there. sites were well maintained and clean. Quick and easy access to the Wilson river. Only one bathroom but was very clean as well parking is a short distance from the sites, we stay three nights though and didn’t run into any issues. Overall 10/10 rating. Also you can get cell service if you drive about 15-20 mins towards the town of Tillamook, or if you have iPhone 14 or newer version with iOS 18.5 or better you can access satellite services for text messaging only.

Gorgeous, well-maintained sites with friendly camp hosts. We stayed as a mid-point while backpacking the Wilson River Trail. There are no real backcountry sites on trail, so for $15 we opted to sleep here. For the price you get pit toilets with toilet paper, well water spigots, and firewood at $5 a bundle. Luxury to backpackers everywhere! Campsite 7 has nice river access to boot!

I was glad I threw a bear bag when a mouse investigated our picnic table around 2am. Be advised and hang your food!
