Rustic no one else around. Need to find the spring next time. With no water for a shower, two nights was enough.

Lovely historic cabin in a gorgeous setting. Map several ways in, as the roads to it are through a burn and our initial route was blocked due downed trees. Oddly no wildlife was apparent, which made for a bit of a spooky silence, but overall very relaxing. Refrigerator was not functional, so bring a cooler and ice.

Whisky is the best. We did some work on the fence to make it look a bit better, cleaned up the outhouse, tidied up in general. I love whisky.

If you want a place out of the way, rustic and reliant on what you bring, this is the place for you. Well kept and near a lot of trails, one could easily get lost in this area and enjoy the isolation from highways and mall parking lots. We saw one car drive by the entire time.

Great place! Cabin had propane stove, heater & lanterns (propane is included). Hiking trails around cabin aren't that well maintained. Detached outhouse was clean. Had a great time relaxing all weekend. No stores or cell service. I'd suggest bringing toilet paper & water just in case...
