The beach was perfect for long walks & almost no one on it (mid-May). There were some great close drives for scenic views & I would highly recommend anyone to use this campground. Probably the only slightly downside was that the bathrooms/showers were a bit of a hike (but then, I'm on vacation, so what's the hurry?)

The location is incredible, right on the beach. However it is very inconvenient to have to drive to Newport to use a dump station. My tank is small so every 3 days I had to drive to Newport or Carl Washburn SP. I was told there was a dump station in Waldport but that is not allowed per management of the rv park. I wish Tillicum had showers. The park is clean, safe and being right on the beach is incredible!

When I arrived I could back my trailer into my spot but the roadway was so narrow when the front of my truck came around to straighten out I kept hitting trees and scrubs. I went to the camp host and they could only put me into a dry camp site that was on quite an upward slant. I lost my original monies plus having to pay for the dry camp site (which I realize was my choice). After one night I left in that afternoon and forfeited my other 2 days of reservation deposit. My 2 friends decided not to come to the coast and I could have used one of their spots (they hadn't officially canceled) but this new system of reservations was NOT going to let that happen. Needless to say this was NOT one of my better experiences.
