Good, clean, basic campground with plenty of space for camping; as well as good separation between spaces.
Great river with slower-flowing, ankle to chest depth water.
Lots of chipmunks that are entertaining without invading your space.
Bring a light source to use the bathrooms after dark.
The website could use a more detailed map to help pick a space.
You have to share the road with log trucks.

I’m only giving it 2 stars due to the fact that when we arrived at our campsite it was trashed with stuff from previous people, not only that but we were supposed to stay 2 nights we only stayed one because there was people in the campground throwing a huge party til 4am and there’s no camp manager. I used to go here as a kid and loved this campground, after experiencing what I did I don’t think I’d return with my kids ever again, They should really put an emergency number or a camp host there.

This campground is a hidden little gem in the forest. It is unfortunate that BLM is not keeping it up to it's original standards.

The campground is very beautiful and peaceful. The creak itself is lovely to spend time near and in. The campground was clean and well maintained.
Thank you!

Clay creek is a nice campground. The "host" were friendly and everything is clean.
Most if not al sites seemed to get shade and most sites seemed to offer privacy
We stayed in 20, and the website indicated trailer, but it was a tent site.

Not a bad location and beautiful river, but very dirty camp spots, no host, not taken care of at all, at least the time we stayed there. Not to mention someone was in our spot when we got there late evening.
