What Guests Are Saying
Cape Perpetua campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many campers appreciate the proximity to stunning hiking trails and the peaceful sound of a nearby creek. However, some sites lack privacy, are not level, and can be affected by noise from the road and neighboring campers. Overall, it's a favorite spot for those looking to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

We spent two nights at Space 39. It was a great campground but there was a busy trail 20 ft away from our tent/picnic table. Also, we had to climb 8-9 stairs to get to the picnic table from the car. I wish we would have known this ahead of time.

Campground was very well maintained. Brush had been trimmed extensively making campsites more open to the sun.

A beautiful, mostly quiet campground along a creek. We stayed in site 36, on the end loop. There is not much privacy from the camp road, but very few cars. Lots of beautiful trees and a little sunshine too. The site is near the group camp, but far enough that we weren't bothered by group noise. Also close to the Giant Spruce Trail, at an access point only about 1/4 mi from the huge tree.

Campsite is super well located for tide pools, and Thor's Well, Devil's Churn, etc. Also enjoyed the town of Yachats coastal path/park and the delish food at Luna Sea Fish House and breads/pastries from Bread & Roses. The site itself was kind of buggy and damp, though there are more open "upper level" sites closer to the road versus the creek. Bathrooms clean and sink/mirror for simple wash ups and flush toilets versus vault--that's nice. Host very friendly. Head up the road above the campground for great views.

An excellent campground and location, giving access to the Cape Perpetua area and surrounding trails within a quiet and sheltered camp loop. Loop is one extended piece with a turnaround and one group camp site at the end, but campers tend to be quiet and respectful - - A mix of sites visible from road and those hidden by the creek. Then about an even mix between small RV campers using general sites and tent campers with some bicycle touring campers as well. Access to both beach and visitor center relatively close by.
Restroom buildings above average for Forest Service though some of the door handles need repair to open all the time.

The combination of beautiful forests, stunning vistas, hiking trails, and tide pools was Oregon at its best. Add the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps and it was a very rich experience. Not to miss: Visitor Center, Caper Perpetua (the views!) and the rock shelter, the giant spruce trail.
And the campground has flushing toilets with a sink!

Campsites were small but the area was nice, temperature was cool at night, bathrooms were reasonably clean. Lots to do in the area. I would definitely return.

We drive a Subaru outback and when we drove into the campsite, our car EASILY fit though.

Beautiful campground in the forest. Very peaceful. Our site was next to a creek. Lots to see and do in the area (hiking trails, visitor center, Yachats, Thor’s well, cape perpetua overlook). Solar on our trailer did not work due to tree coverage.
