Elk Crossing 555 Campground

Nice campground. Talked with one of the owners, she was very nice and accommodating.

the lady that works here… she was very snobby, always hovering over our campsite every 10 minutes. absolutely no privacy. she charged us 48$ for a night when down the street you can camp with eletric for only 35$. she is extremely money hungry. her son kept making me extremely uncomfortable as well. would not recommend when there is better sites available. bathroom was also disgusting and disturbing.

Nice quiet campground. Close to elk viewing area. Limited full hookups sites. Only two public toilets and two public showers. Well kept and clean.

Lovely campground had a great time. Spent the weekend here with our RV we thought it was very nice. Not many other folks camping a few with kids seemed like they were having a great time. I would make a couple suggestions that would probably make other campes stay nicer. They should police the areas where campers have reservations and clean out the fire rings before the campers arrive. We had to shovel out our fire ring ourselves and use our own trash bags because our fire ring was so full of ashes it would not have been very good to have a fire in there. The other thing I would do is extend the dump station so it is longer. By the time you get your rig close to the dump pipe you're heading downhill. I don't know about others rigs but our black water tank empties better when the front is higher then the rear. Other than that saw some elk at the viewing station near the visitors center. Love this place we will definitely be back.

Low lying campground, so beware rainy or wet seasons. Well set out. Pavillon with picnic table and fire ring. There are rules to follow, follow them. Bathhouse has 2 toilets and 2 showers. Dump station. There is a creek bordering the campsite. Elk come into the campground and cross the creek to go into the woods. Small town of Benezette’s down the road. Camp store, gift shop and Hotel which serves food from 11am. We had fantastic weather and saw lots of Elk.
