The Outflow Camping Area is located on Youghiogheny River Lake in the heart of the Laurel Highlands. The lake spans the Mason-Dixon Line between Pennsylvania and Maryland. Clean waters, forested mountains and steep-sided valleys provide an unsurpassed setting for recreational opportunities.

This was a nice campground close and convenient to the bike trail. Sites were flat and they had good showers. Decent space between sites. Our only issue was we had a huge storm in the middle of the night the night before checkout that caused some flooding in the local areas. You are right by the river so that was a bit unsettling with the amount of rain we were getting. Not a lot going on or restaurant choices in the small town of Confluence, but we did enjoy Pamela's.
We loved it! Absolutely adored the town of Confluence and spending time away in nature! Great lots of river fun and starry nights always makes for the perfect camping trip!
It was our first time at Outflow but we will
definitely be back. The camphost Terry is a great guy. He is very helpful and keeps the place so clean. If you have a question about the surrounding area he can answer it. Showers are clean with plenty of hot water but could stand to be brightened with some paint My husband loved fishing there. There is an ice cream place within walking distance
Beautifully maintained campground. We tent camped in the hiker-biker section. Lots of thoughtful touches, like tall hooked poles to hang a lantern or food sack. Only complaint is the shower faucets are the type that run for only about 10 or 20 seconds with a twist of the handle. You have to continue giving it twists to keep water flowing. Tedious, but the water flow and temp were great.
Beautiful location, clean and well maintained campground. Nothing like drinking my morning coffee by the river and strolling over to the dam. direct access to the GAP trail and Confluence via pedestrian friendly, vehicle free bridges and paths.
This campsite is, without a doubt, better than most of the KOAs we've stayed at. Even though it did not have full hookups, we filled up with fresh water at the gate, and the dump station is as good as they get. The camp host was friendly, helpful, and busy all the time, keeping the camp in top shape! Thank you.
